Information Sent Directly
Search Terms
If a visitor types a name or location into a search box powered by a third-party provider, the query is sent to that provider. Wilcox County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy notice controls what it does after receiving the query.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other message sent through a contact channel may be kept so a response can be prepared and the conversation can be understood. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required or needed to handle the request.
Technical Data and Cookies
Like most public web pages, a visit can produce routine technical details in server, hosting, analytics, or security systems. The information may include:
- IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on each page
- Referring site, when one is supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookie Controls
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand how visitors use the Wilcox County pages and to support site functions. A browser can block or delete cookies. Some features may respond differently when those controls are enabled. This policy does not promise a particular retention period for technical data or cookies.
How Information Is Used
Information is used for ordinary operation and maintenance of the service, including these purposes:
- Keeping the pages available and responsive

When a Link Leaves This Site
The pages link to the Wilcox County Sheriff's Office, which identifies Sheriff Jeff Wessel and operates Wilcox County Jail. They also link to GDC Find an Offender, Georgia Courts e-access, records-request guidance, and federal locators. They may link to outside search tools as well. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination's privacy policy and data practices apply. Wilcox County Busted Mugshots does not control the destination's collection, storage, accuracy, or availability.
Advertising partners may use their own technologies to observe activity across sites for interest-based advertising. That activity occurs on the partners' systems, not under the control of this site's page content. Review the partner's notice and use browser or platform controls when available.
